Scarlet Book Description:
Thinking I was free was a mistake…
I have spent the last six years running, hiding, and thinking I would never be found.
Scarlet was the creation of pure evil, where everyone was numbered, tattooed, and categorized like animals for slaughter and assigned a place within the programme.
From infants we were trained, manipulated, and controlled into becoming highly trained assassins to protect the bad guys without knowing the truth.
In a world where relationships and friendships are tested, in a world where love blossoms and demands sacrifice, where pain is mental as well as physical and blood and destruction followed…I was the reason for the hunt.
In a world where the stars are the light that guides me within a life that starts to feel like a game of chess.
Where we have to risk it all to end the one thing that created us.
We had to ask our questions…
Who will end up on top?
Are we willing to pay the price to be free forever?
Then again, it wasn’t their choice to make…
It was mine.
“I finally understood, that they aren’t just friends, they are part of our family and we protect our family.”

Scarlet Review:
Adeline has spent 6 long years on the run from Scarlet, an organization that buys children and trains them to become human weapons. When things finally seem to be calm, the head of Scarlet sends his goons after Adeline and her family under the guise of Adeline being second in command. The assassins refuse to go down without a fight. Scarlet is full of action, viôlênce, and heartbreak.
Reading Scarlet was like watching an action movie. The story is packed with action, assassins, betrayal, and brainwashing. Another thing I appreciated is how the female characters were all treated as equals – they weren’t waiting for a knight in shining armor to save them, the bîtchês saved themselves!
I enjoy quite a bit of spice in my books, however, I don’t know that it would organically fit in the story as written. So just a heads up, if you’re looking for spice, this may not be the book for you.
I felt the story was fairly fast-paced for a slow burn. After an emotionally taxing ending, I am definitely looking forward to book 2.
Scarlet is perfect for readers who enjoy an action-packed adventure, A heart-wrenching love story, and a bâdâss FMC who would move heaven and earth to protect her family.
